Medcare Telehealth Brings Live Video Visits With Licensed Providers to Florida and New York

Finding care for an everyday health concern often means waiting days for an appointment or hours in a clinic. Medcare Telehealth offers another option: a live video visit with a licensed provider, from home, for a simple monthly membership.

The service is built around a real person on the other side of the screen. Medcare is not a chatbot and not text-only care. Members talk face to face by video with a provider who listens, asks questions, and uses clinical judgment.

Medcare Telehealth is currently available to patients located in Florida and New York. Visits run Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Eastern Time.

Two Simple Membership Plans

Medcare offers two monthly plans, both billed automatically until you cancel.

Individual

Family

Monthly price

$29

$49

Who's covered

One member

Unlimited household members

Included video visits

1 per billing month

4 shared per billing month

Extra visits

$20 each

$20 each

On the Family plan, the four visits are shared across the whole household. One person can use all four, or they can be split any way the family needs.

Included visits refresh at the start of each billing month. Unused visits expire and do not roll over, so it helps to choose the plan that fits how often you expect to need care.

What Medcare Can Help With

Medcare's providers may be able to help with common, non-emergency concerns, including:

  • Cold and flu symptoms, such as congestion, cough, and sore throat

  • Seasonal allergies

  • Rashes and minor skin irritation

  • Common digestive concerns

  • Minor aches and everyday pain questions

  • Sleep and stress

  • Selected routine women's health concerns

  • Referrals and guidance when another setting is a better fit

What a provider can address depends on your symptoms, history, location, and their clinical assessment.

How a Visit Works

Getting care takes three steps:

  1. Pick a plan. Choose Individual or Family and review the membership terms.

  2. Share the basics. Complete a short, secure intake about what's going on.

  3. Join by video. Meet a licensed provider live, with a target wait of about 10 minutes during visit hours. Timing isn't guaranteed and can depend on availability and intake.

During the visit, your provider may offer education, recommend self-care, suggest testing, or point you to in-person care. They may also prescribe a routine, non-controlled medication when it's legally permitted and clinically appropriate.

Medcare is upfront that no prescription, antibiotic, diagnosis, or treatment is guaranteed. Providers do not prescribe controlled psychiatric medications. Even when Medcare isn't the right fit, the goal is for every member to leave with a clear next step.

Not for Emergencies

Telehealth is not emergency care. If you may be having a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. Don't wait for a video visit.
